An appropriate role for a school psychologist on a threat assessment team is to assess the student’s need for educational and psychological services, gather the information that will help the team understand the student’s motives and reasons for a threat, and make recommendations that respond to the needs of the student are aligned. and solve the problem or problem that triggered the threatening behavior.
